Meet Mackenzie

Mackenzie Watson, PA-C
Mackenzie Watson, PA-C, earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Oklahoma City University in 2026. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Central Oklahoma, graduating with a double major in Biomedical Sciences and Spanish. Her educational background and commitment to continued learning have prepared her to provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to patients from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
Throughout her academic and clinical training, Mackenzie developed a passion for providing inclusive, patient-centered mental health care. She is particularly committed to serving members of the LGBTQ+ community and strives to create a welcoming and affirming environment where every patient feels respected, heard, and comfortable participating in their care.
Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Mackenzie worked directly with survivors of sexual assault. This experience had a meaningful impact on her approach to patient care and reinforced the importance of trust, patient autonomy, and trauma-informed care. She recognizes that seeking mental health treatment can involve discussing deeply personal or difficult experiences and works to provide a supportive environment where patients can move through treatment at a pace that feels appropriate for them.
Mackenzie believes that effective psychiatric care begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on empathy, communication, trust, and collaboration. She works alongside her patients to develop individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, goals, and values while supporting long-term mental wellness and resilience.
Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She loves being outdoors whenever Oklahoma weather allows and also enjoys reading and knitting as ways to relax, recharge, and maintain balance.
